Precision dosing is only half the battle; getting the drug to the patient is the other half. In this fast-paced session, we move from quantitative pharmacokinetics (antibiotics, modulator dose adjustments, pregnancy effects) to technician-powered safety workflows and ambulatory pharmacy staffing models, and finish with real-world payer data, prior authorization fixes, and alternative funding “shenanigans.” Come for the PK, stay for the strategies that keep lifesaving CF therapies in patients’ hands.

Learning Objectives:

Apply new pharmacokinetic and therapeutic-drug-monitoring data to optimize antibiotic and CFTR modulator dosing in children, pregnant women, and patients requiring dose modifications.
Describe pharmacy technician and pharmacist care models that improve side-effect surveillance, clinic capacity, and patient engagement in CF pharmacotherapy.
Implement practical strategies to navigate prior authorizations, insurance variability, and alternative funding program tactics to maintain uninterrupted access to CF medications.
