This session highlights key updates from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Education Committee, explores the LEAPP program’s impact, and shares innovative mentorship models for CF program coordinators, patients, and caregivers. Designed to inspire and equip attendees with tools to enhance education and support across the CF community.

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe the structure, goals, and outcomes of the LEAPP (Leadership and Educational Advancement Program for Providers) program, and its relevance to professional development in cystic fibrosis care
  • Identify key components of effective nursing mentorship models designed to support CF program coordinators in enhancing clinical leadership, collaboration, and role satisfaction
  • Discuss the benefits and challenges of implementing mentorship initiatives for individuals with cystic fibrosis and their caregivers, with an emphasis on improving emotional support, disease management, and community engagement
