Antibiotics are a key part of patient care in people with cystic fibrosis (pwCF). In this session we will discuss the basics of antimicrobial therapy and dive into more complex patient care scenarios. The intent of this session is to provide a foundation for those new to CF while also providing updates to those seasoned in cystic fibrosis care.

Learning Objectives:

  • Provide antibiotic recommendations for a patient with a CF exacerbation or needing eradication of a new organism.
  • Discuss approaches for CF patients with non-tuberculosis mycobacterial disease and fungal complications.
  • Gain insight into new treatment options for complicated CF infections including phage therapy.
