This session will highlight how pulmonary exacerbations (PEx) and PEx management have changed in the era of cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) modulator therapy. A particular emphasis will be placed on the experience of a person with CF with the burden of care and PEx following modulator initiation, changes in management of PEx from an adult and pediatric perspective, and the need for decentralized studies to study treatment de-escalation in the post-modulator era.
