Welcome to this session. Our aim is to review the latest evidence and advances in physical and respiratory therapy for individuals with cystic fibrosis. A range of abstracts will be presented, highlighting emerging interventions, service developments, and current best practices in therapy care. The session will also include dedicated time for discussion and questions to encourage knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Learning Objectives:

  • Enhance Clinical Practice Through Evidence-Based Interventions: Equip physiotherapists with the latest evidence and tools—such as objective huff cough assessments, diaphragmatic breathing techniques, and oxygen supplementation strategies—to optimize respiratory function and physical well-being across the CF lifespan.
  • Promote Health Literacy and Self-Management in CF Care: Explore innovative approaches like virtual education programs to support the development of health literacy, self-efficacy, and independent disease management in pediatric and adolescent CF populations.
  • Understand and Address Physical and Neurological Challenges in CF
