This session is designed for healthcare professionals involved in the multidisciplinary care of individuals with cystic fibrosis (CF). Come explore the complexities of social determinants of health (SDOH) and the often- nuanced insurance challenges faced by CF patients and their families. Through real-world case studies and facilitated discussion, the session will provide practical strategies for navigating barriers such as housing instability, food insecurity, transportation limitations, and inadequate insurance coverage or benefits coordination. Attendees will leave with tools to better advocate for their patients, streamline access to critical resources, and collaborate effectively with social workers, case managers, and payers to resolve complex care challenges and improve the quality of life for those living with CF.
