Jay Freeman is a professor of pediatrics at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and The Ohio State College of Medicine. There he serves as the director of Pancreatic Care at the Pancreas and Liver Care Center and the Medical Director for the TPIAT program. Dr. Freeman was one of the initial recipients of the Developing Innovative Gastroenterology Specialty Training (DIGEST) award from the CF Foundation and has remained active in studying the impact of GI and Hepatic disease on clinical outcomes in CF. He was a co-PI on the multi-center GALAXY study and is an active investigator within the CFLD-Network and PUSH study. He has co-authored multiple papers related to the management of GI and liver involvement in CF including those focused on nutrition, liver transplant, and pancreatitis.
