UVAHealth Adult Cystic Fibrosis Clinic
Deirdre ‘Didi’ is a licensed clinical social worker at the UVA Health Adult Cystic Fibrosis Center. Her educational background and clinical experience are grounded in cultural humility and a collaborative approach to care. Didi began working for UVA in 2018 and joined the Adult CF Clinic in September of 2020. Since joining the adult CF care team, her work has focused around improving health related quality of life, addressing barriers to care, health-related socical needs, weight inclusive care and health disparities for people with CF. She was a lead for the ELICIT project, a multicenter quality improvement project focused on impelmenting online screening for social needs. She continues to pursue this area by serving as a lead for the CF Learning Network Health-Related Social Needs Screening innovation lab.
