Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
Kim Reno is a Senior Manager in the Policy and Advocacy Department at the CF Foundation. She leads efforts in program assessment, implementation, and evaluation, and oversees multidisciplinary committees including the CF Social Work Advisory Group. Kim's team supports CF Care Centers in addressing social, economic, and access barriers by developing educational content and raising awareness about the challenges faced by individuals with CF and their families.
Kim joined the CF Foundation in November 2017 after working as a social worker and mental health coordinator at the CF Care Center in Toledo, Ohio. She has been an active participant in the North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference (NACFC), serving as an invited speaker and co-moderator. She chaired the Psychosocial Track of the NACFC from 2009 to 2015 and co-chaired the conference in 2012.
Kim is involved with the Social Work Advisory Board at Bowling Green State University and has served on the CF Task Force for the State of Ohio. She is a former board member and planner for the Cystic Fibrosis Nutrition and Social Work Consortium. Additionally, Kim contributed to the international committee that developed and published anxiety and depression guidelines for CF and is a current member of the CF Foundation Mental Health Advisory Committee.
Her recognitions include the Social Worker of the Year Award by Region I of the Ohio Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers, the Mary M. Kontos Care Champion Award, and the CF Social Work Achievement Award.
