Alexander Ing MS, CGC is a genetic counselor in the Center for Genomics within the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Lurie Children’s and a Research Assistant Professor at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine. His role is centered around in-house genetic testing analysis and reporting. In addition, he also serves as a clinical genetic counselor within the Division of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine as part of the Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia (PCD) specialty clinic. He is a member of multiple Clinical Genome Resource (ClinGen) expert panels and is the coordinator of the Northwestern Graduate Program in Genetic Counseling Laboratory Methods course. He is passionate about variant interpretation and data collaboration initiatives to improve our scientific understanding of genetic testing results.
