(Keith) Chee Y. Ooi, MBBS, PhD, FRACP, AGAF

Dr (Keith) Chee Y. Ooi (MBBS, PhD, FRACP, AGAF) is a Professor of Medicine at University of New South Wales (UNSW) Medicine & Health and Consultant Paediatric Gastroenterologist at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Australia. He is Co-Director of the CF Clinic and Director of the Cystic Fibrosis-Gastroenterology and Pancreas Care Programs at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Australia.

He is an internationally and nationally recognised expert in cystic fibrosis (CF)-related gastroenterology/pancreatology/nutrition and childhood paediatric pancreatic diseases. Dr Ooi's has also developed a research program in gastrointestinal biomarkers of health, including the gut microbiome and inflammation. He has published >150 journal articles (first or senior author in over 50% of these publications) and has authored international, authoritative textbook chapters in gastroenterology, CF and pancreatology. He has secured >AUD$14 million in international and national research funding. He is listed in the World’s Top 2% Scientists (Standford/Elsevier) for 2023 and 2024.
