Juan P. Ianowski is a professor at the Department of Anatomy Physiology and Pharmacology and the leader of the Metabolic, Cardiovascular and Respiratory Research Cluster at the University of Saskatchewan. He graduated with a degree in biology from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. He enrolled in the PhD program at the Department of Biology, McMaster University where he graduated in 2004. Dr. Ianowski laboratory focuses on the mechanisms of epithelial solute transport, its regulation by extracellular and the intracellular signals, and the pathological consequences of epithelial ion transport failure in cystic fibrosis.
