Luke Hoffman is a physician-scientist at the University of Washington (UW) and Seattle Children's Hospital. Clinically, he cares for children with cystic fibrosis and other lung diseases as a pediatric pulmonologist. He is also a microbiologist, with a basic science laboratory that investigates the microbial determinants of chronic, pediatric diseases such as CF; he also directs a CF clinical microbiology laboratory at Seattle Children's Hospital that also serves as a National Resource Center for researchers developing new treatments for CF infections, the Center for CF Microbiology. He is professor and vice chair for research for the Department of Pediatrics at UW.
