Megan Johnson, RD, CSP, is a clinical pediatric dietitian specializing in cystic fibrosis (CF) at Children’s Hospital Colorado, where she serves patients in the outpatient clinic in Colorado Springs. She brings over a decade of specialized experience in pediatric and adult CF nutrition and is recognized for her clinical expertise, leadership, and contributions to multidisciplinary care.
Megan earned her Bachelor of Science in Medical Dietetics from the University of Missouri in 2010, graduating cum laude through the university’s coordinated program in dietetics. She began her career in 2011 at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital at Oregon Health & Science University, providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient nutrition care to children with CF.
In 2013, she achieved board certification as a Specialist in Pediatric Nutrition (CSP). From 2013 to 2017, Megan further expanded her clinical scope by working in the adult CF outpatient clinic, while continuing to support pediatric CF care.
Following her relocation to Colorado in 2023, Megan joined the CF team at Children’s Hospital Colorado. In her current role, she remains committed to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered nutrition care to individuals with CF.
Megan is actively involved in advancing CF nutrition practice through national presentations and quality improvement efforts. She has presented at the North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference (2016), the CF Learning Network Fall Quality Improvement Conference (2018), and the CF Dietitian and Social Work Consortium (2025). Additionally, she presented a poster and abstract at NACFC in 2017 and served as a workshop moderator at the 2018 conference.
Outside of her professional work, Megan enjoys hiking, baking, and spending time with her family.
