Dr. Folashade Adebisi Jose is a pediatric gastroenterologist with a particular focus on cystic fibrosis (CF). Her work has been instrumental in advancing the understanding of gastrointestinal complications in CF patients and improving care strategies.
Dr. Jose has played a crucial role in CF education and advocacy. With a distinguished research background, Dr. Jose has contributed to studies regarding neurogastroenterology and motility disorders within the CF population, helping to bridge the gap between pulmonology and gastroenterology to provide comprehensive patient care. Her work includes contributions to leading medical journals highlighting key insights into CF-related gastrointestinal dysfunctions, ensuring that practitioners have the tools necessary for early diagnosis and intervention
She was also the medical director for the proposed study on Rifaximin for treatment of bloating in children and adults with cystic fibrosis.
She has extensive expertise in approaches to managing CF-related liver disease, having been involved in research on hepatically adjusted Trikafta dosing trends.

Dr Jose was awarded the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation DiGEST Program Award (2022-2025) to improve care of pediatric patients with CF. Having provided leadership through her roles in collaborative healthcare initiatives Dr. Jose continues to drive advancements in cystic fibrosis treatment, ensuring better outcomes for patients living with this complex condition particularly through her work in the DiGEST Program.
Dr. Jose will co-chair the NACFC 2025 workshop session, "Navigating GI and Hepatic Challenges in Cystic Fibrosis: Current Insights and Future Directions", where she will lead discussions on the latest advancements and future strategies in CF-related gastrointestinal and hepatic care. Through her expertise and leadership, she continues to drive meaningful conversations and innovations to improve patient outcomes.
