Kirby Smith, CPhT Adv, CHW is a Patient Medication Liaison at the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO. Since joining the specialty pharmacy in 2017, she has been assisting adult and pediatric patients with medication management, accessability, and affordability. Advocating for patients while navigating insurance challenges has become a focus for her. Additionally, Kirby is a 20-year veteran in the Army Reserves and will be retiring later this year as a Sergeant First Class. Outside of work, Kirby is an avid CrossFit athlete, and enjoys cycling (ask about RAGBRAI), kayaking, hiking, exploring National Parks, walks with her staffy Roz, and spending time with her four nephews.
