WVU Medicine
Ryan Juel, is a licenced, registered Dietitian currently working at WVU Medicine in Morgantown, WV. She specializes in working with pediatric and adult patients with cystic fibrosis. She began working at the Mountain State Cystic Fibrosis Center in December 2019 and has grown tremendously in her role there during her tenure. As a Cystic Fibrosis Clinical Dietitian she enjoys the complexity and individualism that this population presents. She strives to expand her knowledge and understanding of the disease by utilizing group learning platforms, attending community conferences, and taking on new responsibilities within her center. In 2023, she was made the Quality Improvement leader for her team requiring her to recognize areas for improved patient care and implement plan, do, study, act cycles to achieve desired outcomes. Additionally, she was part of the writing group for the cystic fibrosis foundation position paper: Redefining the CF care model, published September 2024. Ryan received her Master’s in Nutrition from Bastyr University in Kenmore, WA where she learned the importance of a tailored approach to achieve nutritional health. Growing up in Washington State, she developed a deep love of nature. In her free time, Ryan loves being outside, reading, spending time with family and friends, or traveling with her husband and 4 year-old son.
