Aastha Joshi, PT, DPT, CEP, is a Clinical Specialist in the Department of Pulmonary Medicine at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, where she leads physical therapy services for adult patients with cystic fibrosis, bronchiectasis, and primary ciliary dyskinesia. She brings over a decade of experience in cardiopulmonary physical therapy, with advanced expertise in cystic fibrosis care, airway clearance techniques, and exercise prescription for adults with complex cardio-pulmonary diseases.
At NewYork-Presbyterian, she provided inpatient rehab across cardiopulmonary, transplant, and neuro-ortho populations, and led quality initiatives in fall prevention and interdisciplinary care.
Aastha holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Utica College, a Master’s in Clinical Exercise Physiology from East Stroudsburg University and a Bachelor's Degree in Physiotherapy from SDM College of Physiotherapy. She integrates a whole-body approach to patient care and is passionate about maximizing patients well-being, improving quality of life and achieving patient-centered goals through a customized, hands-on approach across all phases. Her work is supported by a Cystic Fibrosis Foundation grant, and she has presented at ERS, AACVPR, and PHA on high-intensity training and wellness strategies in chronic lung disease. In her spare time, she finds joy in experiencing the world through the eyes of her toddler, dancing, and spending quality time with friends and family.
