Paul B. McCray, Jr. received his M.D. from the University of Iowa (USA) followed by pediatric residency and pulmonary fellowship. Dr. McCray is currently a Professor of Pediatrics, Microbiology and Immunology, and Internal Medicine at the University of Iowa, is the Chief Scientific Officer in Pediatrics, and holds the Roy J. Carver Chair in Pulmonary Research. Dr. McCray's research interests include pulmonary innate immunity, the pathogenesis and treatment of cystic fibrosis, and the development of genetic therapies for monogenetic diseases.
