Queens University of Charlotte
I am Leah Morgan, PhD, RN; I am an assistant professor in the School of Nursing at Queens University of Charlotte. I am a double graduate of UNC Chapel Hill School of Nursing and is an alumni of the Hillman Scholars in Nursing Innovation program. My PhD focus was Nursing with a minor in Organizational Behavior. Clinically, I have worked in acute care pediatrics at UNC Children’s Hospital and have worked in public health at the Mecklenburg County Health Department. My research has revolved around clinician well-being with a focus on burnout and building a more resilient workforce. My professional and personal life have led me to many intersections with cystic fibrosis. Professionally, I have cared for patients and families dealing with cystic fibrosis related health issues within the hospital and I now teach about it within my pediatrics nursing course. Personally, I have been a caregiver and partner to someone who has cystic fibrosis and underwent a double-lung transplant in 2019.
