Patient with Cystic Fibrosis
Mathew was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at the age of 15 and has been determined to never let CF hold him back from achieving his personal and professional goals. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Computer Science from Stanford University, including a full academic scholarship for his graduate program. Matthew works at Microsoft as the Senior Product Manager for Windows Onboarding, leading his team to build all PC setup flows used by billions of users across the globe. For the past 7 years, he’s volunteered as a mentor in the Peer Connect program through the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation helping both students with CF navigate college/jobs and parents of children with late diagnoses adapt to their family’s new reality. Matthew currently lives in a suburb outside of Seattle with his wife and 10-month-old daughter. He enjoys skiing, hiking, and kayaking in his free time. You can often find the Pick family on a mountain trail or paddling on the lake together.
