Dr. Sarah Vij is an Associate Professor of Surgery and Perioperative Care at the University of Texas at Austin, Dell Medical School. She specializes in male infertility and andrology. She graduated from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine with a distinction in research in 2011. Dr. Vij then completed her residency training in urology in at the Glickman Urologic and Kidney Institute at Cleveland Clinic. As a resident, Dr. Vij was awarded the prestigious Crile Traveling Fellowship Award, given to a surgical resident who excels in the clinical and research domain. Following residency, she completed fellowship training in Male Infertility and Andrology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
Dr. Vij served as Program Director for Cleveland Clinic Foundation’s Male Infertility and Andrology Fellowship as well as an Associate Program Director for the Urology Residency through the end of 2024. She was the Center Director for the Center of Male Fertility also through the end of 2024 until she started her position at Dell Medical School. She was awarded the Young Urologist of the Year Award from the American Urological Association in 2023 and received the North Central Section Young Urology Service Recognition Award the same year. Dr. Vij is an active educator for the Dell Medical School students. She has had grant support from the Velosano Organization to study Prepubertal Testicular Tissue Cryopreservation outcomes and is an ‘Envision’ Awardee from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. She has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Vij currently serves as Member-At-Large for the Society for the Study of Male Reproduction. She is an active member of AUA, SSMR, SMRU, and SMSNA.
