Ajai A. Dandekar, MD, PhD

Ajai A. Dandekar, MD, PhD, Associate Professor of Medicine, is an adult cystic fibrosis physician and microbiologist at the University of Washington in Seattle. Dr. Dandekar is a physician-scientist who studies the quorum sensing system of Pseudomonas aeruginosa with an interest in the sociomicrobiology of this organism. His research focuses on the molecular biology of quorum sensing in P. aeruginosa, as well as how the biology of quorum sensing might relate to chronic P. aeruginosa infections in cystic fibrosis.
