Amirala Nazari, BSc. Hons., PhD Student, University of Saskatchewan.
I am a graduate student at the University of Saskatchewan, where I study airway ionocytes and their role in cystic fibrosis under the mentorship of Dr. Ianowski. My journey in CF research began with my undergraduate honours project, which inspired a lasting passion for exploring how basic science can inform better treatments. My work focuses on uncovering how ionocyte function shapes epithelial physiology and contributes to disease. I’m driven by a deep curiosity about airway biology and a commitment to advancing research that makes a real difference for people living with cystic fibrosis.
