Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Therapeutics Lab
Victoria Momyer, MS, is a Research Associate III on the Stem Cells & Imaging Team at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Therapeutics Lab in Lexington, Massachusetts. Her work primarily focuses on immunofluorescent staining and confocal imaging to support a range of in vitro and in vivo projects. These include evaluating the effectiveness of therapeutic delivery candidates and identifying the specific cell types they target. Over the past four years, Victoria has helped to lead a collaborative effort with the University of North Carolina to develop a standardized protocol for CFTR immunostaining in cells and tissues. This initiative aims to advance cystic fibrosis research by enabling the identification of native CFTR expression in the lung, guiding therapeutic cell type targeting, and establishing a method to directly measure therapeutic success through CFTR restoration in clinical samples.
