Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
Felicia Reid is a public health professional with over thirteen years of experience in education, grant writing and management, program implementation, health advocacy, and behavioral research. Before working at the Foundation, Felicia worked at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, collaborating with psychologists and behavioral scientists on grants focused on community engagement in lymphoma, tobacco cessation, communication in clinical care, and urban health and cancer control, particularly colorectal screening in East Harlem. Through grant writing and management, Felicia gained an aptitude for research, critical thinking, and patient advocacy.
Through life and work experiences, Felicia has learned to think strategically, partner with varying communities, and collaborate with interdisciplinary stakeholders. Felicia’s graduate school capstone assessed how the COVID-19 pandemic affected nutritional disparities for women and children enrolled in WIC, while evaluating food and hunger during the pandemic, particularly in Washington, D.C. neighborhoods, and the rise in government food assistance program applications.
At the foundation, Felicia has partnered with FIPAN Mendoza, a parent-led organization in Mendoza, Argentina, which aims to support families struggling with access to medication and education. Felicia is passionate about community empowerment and advocacy, and is passionate about partnering with pwCF and families within the community. Felicia is currently the Senior Research Program Specialist on the Partnerships for Sustaining Daily Care team. Felicia supports the management of the Success with Therapies Research Consortium, Partnership Enhancement Program, and Mary Kontos Care Champion Award.
