Elizabeth H. Favier, RN, BSN, CEN, MA, Nurse Coordinator for the UofL Health Adult Cystic Fibrosis Care Center in Louisville, KY.
Beth is a Certified Emergency Nurse who spent the early part of her nursing career as an Emergency Department and Critical Care Charge Nurse who collaborated with local and rural Emergency Response personnel to better recognize and treat critical health situations like stroke and hypoglycemia. Prior to being a nurse, Beth earned a Master’s Degree in Art Therapy and worked in a school for youth with severe behaviors, including self-harm. This expertise in crisis management has influenced Beth’s work in the Cystic Fibrosis Community, including her most recent effort to identify and prevent health emergencies related to high-risk medication use. Beth has raised dogs, chickens, plants and children at her home on a hobby farm and Certified Wildlife Habitat. She is the Kentucky State Irish Historian for the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, as well as a swimmer and aspiring fiddle player. For better or worse, Beth and her husband are avid Cincinnati Bengals fans.
