San Raffaele Scientific Institute
I am a biologist with an international PhD and an academic journey spanning across Italy, Germany, and Canada. In Italy, I established and led a research group at Ospedale San Raffaele, Milano specializing in infections and cystic fibrosis.
My passion lies in translational science, primarily focused on advancing the field of cystic fibrosis. With my research group, I've made significant contributions in uncovering the pathogenic mechanisms underlying lifelong chronic infections in cystic fibrosis patients. Together with the Italian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, I co-founded a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to pre-clinical models for testing innovative therapies, particularly anti-infectives and anti-inflammatories.
