Dr. Helen Stankiewicz Karita, MD, MSc, is an Infectious Diseases specialist and Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF).
Her clinical work focuses on infections in immunocompromised patients, including solid organ transplant recipients. She also performs high-resolution anoscopy for the detection and management of HPV-related disease at the ANCRE Clinic - the first clinic in the world dedicated to anal cancer prevention.
Dr. Stankiewicz Karita’s research focuses on HPV infection and anal cancer prevention, with an emphasis on primary and secondary prevention strategies in high-risk populations.
