Alex Cho is a Ph.D. Candidate from the University of Toronto’s Department of Physiology under the supervision of Dr. Cristina Nostro at the University Health Network’s McEwen Stem Cell Institute. In his research, Alex aims to explore the directed differentiation of pluripotent stem cells into pancreatic cell fates for applications in studying pancreatic development and the pathogenesis of cystic fibrosis-related diabetes. His expertise includes stem cell culture and differentiation, induced pluripotent stem cells, flow cytometry, and organoid culture.
