This session will bring multisiciplinary perspectives and skill sets to address procedural-related fears and stress in individuals with cystic fibrosis across the lifespace. We will provide a series case examples that highlight common procedures (for example, lab draws, throat swabs, g-tube changes, more invasive procedures) that many individuals with cystic fibrosis find stressful or anxiety-provoking along with strategies to help patients and families decrease this distress. This interactive presentation will allow for ample time for questions and case discussions such that the audience can also contribute their experiences and learning to this session.
