Catherine M. McDonald, PhD, RDN, CSP, CACFD

Primary Children's Hospital

Katie McDonald is a registered dietitian/nutritionist and certified specialist in pediatric nutrition. Katie has worked at Primary Children’s Hospital for 47 years with the last 35 years specializing in the nutrition care of infants and children with CF. Katie was a co-chair for the CF Foundation enteral feeding guidelines and chair for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics 2020 CF Nutrition Guidelines. She was the 2017 recipient of the CFF’s Mary G. Kontos Care Champion Award. Katie participates in her local CF quality improvement team and CFF Food Insecurity committee. Much of Katie’s free time is spent trying to keep up with 5 very active grandchildren.
