Dr. Michael Narkewicz is a Professor of Pediatrics in the Section of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, School of Medicine in Aurora Colorado. He is the Executive, Provider Strategic Partnerships for Children’s Hospital Colorado in Aurora, CO. Dr. Narkewicz received his AB from Dartmouth College, his MD from the University of Vermont and did his residency and fellowship at the University of Colorado in Denver CO. His research is primarily on cystic fibrosis liver disease focusing on identification of biomarkers to identify individuals with CF at risk for advanced liver disease and the impact of HEMT on liver involvement in pwCF. He was the Principal Investigator for the Cystic Fibrosis Liver Disease Network and is the Liver study PI for the PROMISE study. He was the co-chair of the 2021-23 CF Liver Disease Guidelines committee. He serves on the CFF clinical research and physician training program grant review committees. His research has been funded by the NIH and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
