Cook Children's Pedi and Adult CF Center
Kate DeVore, LCSW, is a clinical social worker who has served for 5 years the at the Pediatric and Adult Cystic Fibrosis Center at Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas and holds a BSW and MSSW from The University of Texas at Austin. Kate functions as the Quality Improvement Co-Leader for the Cook Children's partnership with the Cystic Fibrosis Learning Network and has a passion for quality and process improvement. She also serves her community members through her own private therapy practice, primarily utilizing EMDR to address trauma experiences and work towards healing. In addition to her stateside experience in CF and mental health, Kate also has 10 years of experience working with non-government organizations abroad in Europe and Africa where she served under-resourced populations through project management and logistical support. Kate is passionate about anticipating and meeting needs as well as a holistic care model addressing physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs of her patients and clients and works diligently to advocate for systemic change in healthcare access for all.
