Paola Vergani, PhD

University College London (UCL)

Paola Vergani, PhD, works at University College London (UCL) in the United Kingdom. Now a molecular pharmacologist and epithelial physiologist, Paola graduated from the University of Pavia, then obtained a PhD from the University of Milan, studying membrane transport mechanisms in plants and yeast. After a first postdoctoral research period at Wye College, University of London, she moved to the Rockefeller University in New York where she began working on the structure/function of CFTR. In 2006 she joined the then Pharmacology Department at UCL as a lecturer.
