Manuela Sinisterra

Children's National Hospital

Dr. Manuela Sinisterra is a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Center for Translational Research at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC. Manuela earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill and her PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Florida. She completed her predoctoral internship training at Children’s National Hospital. Her research interests are focused on supporting positive adjustment for youth diagnosed with a chronic health condition and their families. She has participated in several projects exploring psychosocial factors that impact youth and caregivers’ stress and coping with chronic illness, as well as facilitators and barriers to illness management.
