Audra St John, MD is a dedicated fellow in the Indiana University Department Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition. Dr. St John also completed her medical school and residency training at Indiana University School of Medicine. Prior to her medical training, she recieved a Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-medicine from the University of Dayton, where she also minored in Medical Humanities and Biology. She currently is enrolled in the Masters of Clinical Research program at Indiana University.
Throughout her career, Dr. St John has been involved in research, focusing on various aspects of pediatric gastroenterology with a particular interest in cystic fibrosis. Dr. St John has been honored as the recipient of Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Clinical Fellowship Grant during her first and second years. Dr. St John has previously presented at the NACFC conference during the Pediatric Fellow Session in 2024. Her notable projects include evaluating the impact of CFTR modulators on pancreatic function in cystic fibrosis patients along with reporting the first reported use of PuraStat in pediatric upper gastrointestinal bleeding. Her research on eosinophilic esophagitis and barriers to vaccination rates in pediatric patients with inflammatory bowel disease has been presented at esteemed conferences like the NASPGHAN Annual Meeting. Dr. St John has also contributed to the academic community as a peer reviewer for the Journal of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition.
In addition to her clinical and research endeavors, Dr. St John has a strong commitment to global health. She participated in the AMPATH Kenya Program, providing care at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret, Kenya, and volunteered on a medical mission to Nicaragua with Global Brigades.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. St John enjoys running, snow skiing, attempting creatitive art projects, and attending live muscial performances and Broadway shows.
