With over 17 years of experience in biomedical research field I have traversed through many disciplines during my career. I started my research career in the pulmonary biology department at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC) studying emphysema, following up with extensive research career in Hematology studying leukemia in the department of Experimental Hematology at CCHMC and later studying multiple myeloma in the department of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Emory University. In the interim I managed a viral vector core and later pursued research in B cell biology at CCHMC. My current research focus is studying LC3 associated phagocytosis in Cystic Fibrosis at Emory University in the Center for Cystic Fibrosis and Airways Disease(CF-Air) in an effort to develop host directed therapy in Cystic Fibrosis.
