Charles R. Esther, Jr., MD, PhD

Univ of North Carolina Chapel

Dr. Esther is a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC-CH). His research is primarily focused on cystic fibrosis, including epidemiological studies and use of mass spectrometric methods to measure small molecule biomarkers and drugs in respiratory samples from people with respiratory disease. He leads the UNC CF Pediatric Clinical Care Center as well as the CF Research Development Program and the CFF PK/PD National Resource Center. He also has a long history in education, having previously served as the Pediatric Pulmonology Training Program Director and national involvement in educational programs wtih PEPTDA, CFF, and the American Board of Pediatrics (EPA working group).
