Seattle Children’s Hospital
Anne Slater MD is a Clinical Professor in the Division of Emergency Medicine at Seattle Children's Hospital and the University of Washington. She completed her Medical degree at University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2003, did her Pediatrics residency at University of Connecticut and Connecticut Children's Hospital and then went to do her Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Upon graduation in 2009, she became faculty at Seattle Children's Hospital.
In addition to her work in the Emergency Department, Dr. Slater has a passion for gender equity. She began delving into the issues of microaggressions, pay and leadership inequities in 2020 and has since created two Women's Councils to further understand how gender inquities present themselves, and how to combat them. This work has also led Dr. Slater to develop a workshop that she delivers to divisions across Seattle Children's and the Seattle Children's Research Institute--these workshops provide a deeper look into how inequities show up differently in different environments. Dr. Slater is excited to be speaking at NACFC to share her expertise and to network with her other favorite subspecialty-Pulmonary!
Dr. Slater lives in the greater Seattle area with her husband and three active boys, ages 3, 6. and 8.
