This session will provide an evidence-based, multidisciplinary overview of hepatic complications in CF, with emphasis on the spectrum of liver injury, fibrosis progression, nutritional management, and diagnostic imaging. Expert faculty will review recent advances in the pathogenesis and clinical monitoring of CF related hepatobiliary involvement (CF-HBI) and discuss strategies to optimize liver-related outcomes in both pediatric and adult CF populations.

Target Audience:
This session is designed for pediatric and adult hepatologists, gastroenterologists, pulmonologists, nutritionists, and members of interdisciplinary CF care teams.

Learning Objectives:

Describe the pathophysiologic mechanisms underlying CF-related liver injury and fibrosis.
Identify clinical and biochemical markers that predict progression to clinically significant liver disease. Interpret liver imaging modalities, including ultrasound, elastography, and MRI, for the diagnosis and surveillance of CFLD.
Apply nutritional strategies to support liver function and overall metabolic status in CF patients.
