Dr. Kevin Scully, MB BCh BAO, is a pediatric endocrinologist at Rhode Island Hospital/Hasbro Children’s Hospital and an assistant professor at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. He serves as Associate Director of the Pediatric Cystic Fibrosis Program and leads the CF endocrinology programs within both the pediatric and adult multidisciplinary CF clinics.
Dr. Scully’s clinical and research interests center on cystic fibrosis–related endocrinopathies, particularly cystic fibrosis–related diabetes (CFRD). His work has examined the effects of CFTR modulators on dysglycemia, the relationship between continuous glucose monitor–derived metrics and clinical outcomes, the feasibility of hybrid closed-loop insulin delivery systems for CFRD, and the role of low–glycemic load dietary interventions in improving glucose tolerance and body composition. He has been awarded research support from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, including the Harry Shwachman Clinical Investigator Award and recognition through the EnVision III: Emerging Leaders in CF Endocrinology program.
