Sarah MacDowell, MD, MPH is a Clinical Instructor in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at The Ohio State University (OSU). She earned her medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine and completed a combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at OSU/Nationwide Children’s Hospital. She remained at OSU to complete a Clinician Educator Fellowship followed by a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine which she recently completed in 2025. During fellowship, she joined the lab of Daniel Wozniak, PhD, where she continues to investigate emerging therapeutics for Pseudomonas aeruginosa pulmonary infections, with a particular focus on bacteriophage therapy. Clinically, her interests include the care of people with cystic fibrosis as they transition into adulthood and as the continue to age, as well as those with non-CF bronchiectasis.
