This session will give a taste of the work happening in US and around the world to improve access to care and decrease cost of care and medications for people with cystic fibrosis (CF). Barriers to care and disadvantages experienced by many different populations will also be addressed. These presentations discuss valuable insights that CF care teams can utilize to implement improvements at their own centers.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn about barriers that prevent healthcare professionals from addressing financial or social needs. Discuss how integrated pharmacy services may impact patient access and cost of medications.
  • Identify challenges faced by both US and international CF centers with limited resources and discuss implications for care.
  • Explore lived experiences of people with CF from historically marginalized groups.
