LL09--Different Plans Toward the Same Destination: Tailoring Treatment to Patient Preferences

This dynamic, case-based session will explore how clinicians can approach the same clinical scenario through a variety of therapeutic frameworks, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and trauma-informed care. Three speakers will highlight a distinct approach, offering practical strategies and tools that clinicians can immediately apply in real-world settings. The session is designed to deepen clinical flexibility, broaden therapeutic perspectives, and enhance culturally responsive care.

Learning Objectives:

  • By the end of this session, participants will be able to: Describe the core principles and clinical applications of at least three therapeutic approaches (e.g., CBT, ACT, trauma informed care).
  • Compare and contrast how different therapeutic frameworks can be applied to the same clinical case.
  • Identify practical tools and strategies from each approach that can be integrated into real-world clinical practice.
